Ryan Allis
Ryan P. M. Allis, is the CEO of Virante, Inc. a web marketing consulting firm that assists high potential start-ups and established Fortune 500® organizations launch brands and build sales on the web, the CEO of Broadwick Corp., providers of web-based e-marketing communications software, and the author of the book “Zero to One Million”. Ryan was named to the Business Week “Top 25 Entrepreneurs under 25” and the Triangle Business Journal “Top 40 under 40”. Ryan has been featured on ABC News and in The Wall Street Journal, Investors' Business Daily, the Daily Times of India, Entrepreneur Magazine, SuccessCoach Magazine, CosmoGirl, and Young Money Magazine. Ryan serves as Chairman of the Carolina Entrepreneurship Club, is a member of the Raleigh-Durham Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and is the Executive Director of the Anti-Poverty Campaign. Ryan is presently on leave from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he is a senior economics major and a Blanchard Scholar.
Malcolm Young
Malcolm Young joined the Virante team in April, 2004. He currently serves as Vice President at Virante and has helped the company grow in staff, sales, and offerings during his tenure with the company. Malcolm’s background includes a BBA from Roanoke College as well as multiple business classes while attending Syracuse University on a soccer scholarship. Malcolm accepted a position with Commonwealth Tool Specialty upon graduating from college. While at CTS Malcolm earned his way from Client Services to Supervisor to Office Manager of the Raleigh based branch. In his ten years with CTS, Malcolm was focused primarily on customer service, building sales, and management duties. Malcolm’s interests include sports and online reputation building.
Jeffrey Staub
Jeffrey Staub has a B.A. from Elon University and a B.S. from Colorado State University with a focus on the biological sciences and analysis. Jeffrey joined Virante in the summer of 2005 and has been promoted through the ranks to Chief Operating Officer. With over a decade of experience in the online marketing arena prior to Virante Jeffrey worked as an independent consultant for various online marketing firms working on projects for large movie companies, music industry leaders, major oil companies, and sports apparel producers. Jeffrey is a member of several online marketing associations and is a certified Google AdWords Individual and Yahoo! Sponsored Ambassador. His experience spans the full gamut of online marketing tactics from search engine optimization, cost-per-click (CPC) strategies, affiliate marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, client retention strategies and web site analytics and surveys.
Russell Jones Russ Jones has a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill. He has been in the web design / development industry since 1997. Russ was formerly CTO of demCampaigns, LLC and Computing Consultant for UNC's Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise. An expert in LAMP technologies (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP), web development, and all-things search marketing, Russ has assisted in the creation of new search marketing technologies. This includes the venerable LinkSleeve Spam Link Verification system, which currently blocks thousands of links spam messages across the web. Russ has also authored numerous in-house search marketing tools covering the gamut of search engine optimization from keyword discovery to advanced theming analysis.
