Tool Temporarily Disabled: MSN has pulled their Theming Data

Are You On Theme?

As much as Search Engine Optimizers talk about a site being "on theme", there really has not yet been a good programmatic way to determine if a site is "on theme". Until now.

MSN Labs released within the last year a series of tools that describe categorization of both sites and keywords. Virante's unique theme distance tool determines MSN's categorization of your site and categorization of your keyword. It then checks the categorization of the top 10 sites in google for your keyword. The tool then outputs the ranking of these sites in terms of their "theme distance", or the difference between the categorization of the keyword and the categorization of the site. The smaller the distance, the closer the two are thematically related.
